Effective October 16, 2026 · Applies to the BotBlind Chrome extension and this website.

Short version: the BotBlind extension collects no data. It does not track you, has no account, sends nothing to any server, and runs entirely on your device, in your browser.

What the extension does

BotBlind reads the replies that are already shown to you on x.com and twitter.com and scores them with built-in rules (for example, typical AI phrases, spam patterns, very fast replies or repeated text). Replies above your chosen threshold are collapsed on your screen. Nothing is deleted, reported, blocked, or changed on X.

Data we collect

None. The extension makes no network requests, uses no analytics and no remote code, and does not use any AI service. Post text, usernames and page content are processed in memory on your device and are never stored or transmitted.

Data stored on your device

Using chrome.storage.local, the extension keeps only your settings on your own computer: on/off status, strictness level, a counter of replies hidden today, and the usernames you personally mark as "human" or "bot". This data never leaves your browser and is removed when you uninstall the extension. We have no access to it.

Permissions

`storage`	Saves your settings, the daily hidden counter, and your human/bot allowlist and blocklist locally on your device.
Host access to `x.com` and `twitter.com` (incl. `mobile.`)	Lets the content script read the replies on the conversation page you are viewing and collapse likely bot replies. It runs on no other websites.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties, and we do not use data for advertising, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose.

This website

If you join the waitlist or use the contact form below, we store the email address (and your message) you submit, only to reply to you and send BotBlind updates. You can ask us to delete it at any time through the same form. The site is hosted on Vercel, and emails are sent through Resend. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

Children

BotBlind is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
