# BotBlind > BotBlind is a free Chrome extension that detects and hides likely AI-generated and bot replies on X (x.com and twitter.com). It uses transparent rules only, runs 100% locally in the browser, makes no network requests, and never deletes, reports or blocks anything: hidden replies collapse into a bar with a "Show" button. Key facts: - Product: Chrome extension (Manifest V3), version 1.0.0. English and Spanish interface. - Price: the core filter is free. A paid Pro tier for creators and brands is planned (from $5/month planned), not available yet. - Status (October 2026): the extension is built; its Chrome Web Store listing is pending. People can join the waitlist at https://botblind.app to get one email when it can be installed. - Who it is for: anyone who reads replies on X and is tired of AI "reply guys", engagement bots and copy-paste spam under posts. - How it works: on X conversation pages (/status/...), it reads the replies already loaded in the browser (text, handle, timestamp), scores each reply 0-100 with rules, and collapses replies above the chosen strictness (Relaxed 70, Balanced 50, Strict 35). Each hidden reply shows its score and reasons. - Signals: AI-cliché phrases (English and Spanish), generic praise, replies that don't reference the post, em dashes and template emojis, near-duplicate replies or repeated phrases in the thread, handles ending in long digit strings, replies posted within about 60 seconds (weaker signal up to 180 seconds), and promo/crypto/"check my bio"/DM spam. - Controls: on/off switch, strictness slider, "hidden today" counter, and "✓ Human" / "⚑ Bot" buttons that save per-account corrections locally. - Privacy: no X login, no X API, no AI service, no analytics, no data collection. Only the "storage" permission (settings kept in chrome.storage.local on the user's device) and access to x.com/twitter.com pages. - Accuracy: rules-based, so it can hide a real reply or miss a bot; that is why it hides instead of deleting and explains every flag. - Not affiliated with X Corp. - Contact: botblindapp@gmail.com - X (Twitter): @botblindapp, https://x.com/botblindapp ## Pages - [Home and waitlist](https://botblind.app/): what BotBlind does, how it works, free vs Pro, privacy, FAQ - [How to hide AI and bot replies on X](https://botblind.app/how-to-hide-ai-replies-on-x): guide to spotting AI/bot replies and every native X setting that helps (muted words, mute/block, Hide reply, who can reply, notification filters), plus automatic filtering - [Privacy policy](https://botblind.app/privacy): what the extension stores (only local settings) and what the website stores (waitlist emails) ## Optional - [Full text for LLMs](https://botblind.app/llms-full.txt): longer description, FAQ and guide summary in plain text
